Hello and welcome to Solma Counselling and Psychotherapy Services.
My name is Chantelle Ludwig and I look forward to supporting you on your healing journey.
About Chantelle
I am committed to providing evidenced-based, trauma-informed and client-centered services to adolescents, adults and families.
I am a Registered Social Worker with the BC College of Social Workers and a member of the BC Association of Social Workers. I obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and a Bachelor of Social Work in 2011 from McMaster University. In 2014, I completed my Advanced Master of Social Work degree from the University of British Columbia with a clinical specialization.
Most of my clinical experience has been with survivors of trauma and abuse, and I have sought out extensive trauma therapy training to support survivors in their growth and healing. I am also experienced in working with various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder and substance use disorders, as well as relationship challenges. I am currently employed as a clinical therapist at a non-profit recovery and addictions treatment facility in Kelowna, BC. In 2020, I opened Solma Counselling and Psychotherapy Services in response to the impact that the pandemic was having on the mental and emotional wellbeing of our community.
The therapy approaches that I primarily utilize are Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), Somatic Therapy, Mindfulness Based Interventions, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) , Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Brief Solution Focused Therapy. I will always ensure that my treatment approach meets the specific needs and preferences of each client that I serve. I look forward to supporting you in your healing journey!
